Seat Lift
The Seat Lift function allows the controller to drive the seat lift motor as well as the traction motor. When the seat lift feature is active, the controller engages the scooter's brake and a relay connects the controller to the seat lift motor instead of the drive motor. Operating the scooter's throttle then provides variable speed lift and lower of the seat, instead of driving the scooter forwards or reverse.
Push-too-fastPush-too-fast
Push-too-fast limits the speed of the scooter even when switched off. For example, when being pushed with the brake disengaged, or if the brake fails when parked on a slope. In either of these siutations, as the scooter coasts, the motor acts as a generator and when the speed increases above programmed 'push speed' value, the controller switches itself on and uses the motor as a brake to slow down the scooter.
Multimode®Multimode®
Multimode® is a feature available in many Curtis controllers that allows the vehicle user to instantly change an entire set of parameters via switch inputs. These parameters can include speed, acceleration, deceleration and current limits and with MultiMode®, they can be changed between preset levels for up to four different vehicle operating modes. These modes can be programmed to provide four different sets of operating characteristics, which can be useful for operating in different conditions, such as slow precise indoor manoeuvring in Mode 1; faster, long distance, outdoor travel in Mode 4; and application specific special conditions in Modes 2 and 3.

Motor Controllers
Curtis Permanent Magnet motor controllers provide fully programmable, 4-quadrant speed control of brushed DC permanent magnet motors. All Curtis PM controllers offer programmable acceleration, deceleration and current limiting, together with load compensation, control of electromagnetic brakes and full protection against overtemperature, undervoltage and overvoltage. Models are available for light industrial applications such as sweeper-scrubber or loadmovers and also for medical mobility scooters. In both cases, comprehensive regulatory and compliance documents are available.
