Curtis/Balkan LTD. was established in 1989 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Curtis Instruments, Inc., to meet a growing demand for Curtis products in Eastern Europe. The subsidiary originated out of a joint venture between Curtis and two major Bulgarian fork lift manufacturing and electronic controls state owned companies. In 1993 the Curtis/Balkan became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Curtis Instruments. This modern, highly efficient new factory is one of the company's main production centers, manufacturing a wide variety of Curtis products for the European and worldwide market.

Facility

In 2000, Curtis Instruments Inc. expanded operations of its subsidiary Curtis/Balkan opening a flagship manufacturing facility in Sofia. The two-story factory and offices occupies 20,000 square feet and is equipped with the state-of-the-art manufacturing technology.
